New Jersey Builders Association (“NJBA”) considers your privacy to be of great importance. Therefore, to better protect your privacy we provide this privacy statement notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. The Information We Collect and How We Use It
Required information. There are pages on this site where we may request specific information about you, for example in order to register you for membership, provide on-line registration for convention attendance, register you for e-mail updates, fulfill your requests for information, and communicate with you about our organization and services. Registration. You may register for membership on our website (by following links to one of the 5 affiliated local association websites) to gain access to the services of our full time professional staff or receive information such as that contained in our Dimensions or Weekender newsletters. You may also separately register online for special events such as the Atlantic Builders Convention.
Optional Information supplied voluntarily. From time to time, we may invite you to participate in voluntary surveys or otherwise supply additional optional information. Responding to these requests is completely voluntary and is your choice. We collect and analyze information voluntarily supplied via surveys or otherwise in order to track and improve service to our members and potential members, and for any additional purposes indicated in the request for information.
We may use non-identifying and aggregate information for purposes such as better designing our website and planning convention events. We may disclose this aggregate data to third parties, however, we will not disclose anything that could be used to identify particular individuals.
Automatic collection of information. Like many web sites, our site may periodically utilize a technology called "cookies" to improve your experience in using the site, as well as our efficiency in serving you. For purposes of convention marketing, we may disclose contact information to and among exhibitors to the extent that you have assented to this disclosure either online or at the conventions (e.g., by providing your event badge or contact information at an exhibitor booth).
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to those described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
