Mission Statement

The mission of the Foundation For Housing, which was formed in 1999, is to increase shelter for families of modest means.

The Foundation supports the building of new residences or rehabilitation of existing structures to be occupied by modest income families (i.e., those with a household income equivalent to 80% or less of the state’s median household income).  Although the Foundation emphasizes owner-occupied residences, where support of rental housing will increase the Foundation’s impacts on housing for modest income families, it will support such projects.
